Kiyomizu was great! The whole area is touristy but in a good way.
Flat bus fares in Kyoto for some lines seems unfair. Makes you feel bad for taking a short distance bus.
Osaka Umeda is super crazy. We are staying at a hotel near the Station and this place is a maze. You have so many buildings and malls around the station which are all connected at the basement levels. Many road crossings at surface level are not allowed for pedestrians. You have ground level, pedestrian footbridge level and basement levels. Google Maps can’t figure out which floor you are on. I’ve never felt this navigationally lost ever.
Onitsuka Tiger was a disappointment. Prices for Vismay’s size were same as adult shoes, and they didn’t have stock for my size.
New Balance was much nicer. Vismay’s shoe size was more reasonably priced, and I bought one too.
Explored Japanese watches a bit at Yodabashi Umeda and they were so nice. Orient, Seiko, Citizen and not to mention Seiko’s sister brands like Alba. I bought a quartz field watch for a super cheap price.
