Arashiyama Bamboo Grove was just ok. Not bad, but also not worth going if you don’t go early. By 10 am, the crowds were too bad. I have read that it can get bad by 9 am in some months.
Tenryu-ji Gardens was such a waste of time. Please skip.
Monday is a holiday for most businesses in Kyoto at least in the Ryoan-ji area. And surprisingly no nearby conbinis in the area.
Ryoan-ji was very nice. My kind of temple.
Gion is very nice to walk around in the evening. Great vibes.
Conbinis pack so much in such modest area. You’ll find inner wear, shirts, stationery, food, veggies, ATM, cosmetics, personal care items, electronics and the list is much longer.
